Remote World is partnering with a UK developer platform with over 200000 registered members a UK-based employer to hire for this role. Their community is the largest independent forum for UK software developers with active spaces on Discord a weekly newsletter and an annual in-person conference.

The role

Youll keep the community engaged welcoming and productive modelling the platforms values and connecting members with the right resources. Working with the community lead youll moderate Discord run weekly programming (AMAs challenges announcements) respond to member questions and surface insights to the product team.

What youll do

• Moderate Discord channels and respond to member questions daily
• Plan and run weekly community events AMAs coding challenges show-and-tells
• Write and send the weekly community newsletter
• Identify and support active contributors and community leaders
• Report on community health metrics growth activity and sentiment monthly

What youll need

• Experience managing or moderating an online community
• Strong written communication warm clear and consistent across all channels
• Comfortable using Discord and community management tools
• Youre organised and can manage a weekly events calendar reliably
• MonFri availability during UK business hours

Nice to have

• Experience with developer or tech communities
• Familiarity with newsletter platforms (Beehiiv ConvertKit or Substack)
