Position Summary
The Mobile Unit Service Technician serves as a trusted advisor delivering expert maintenance and repair for advanced medical equipment and consumable products. Technicians perform preventive maintenance troubleshooting repairs modifications and installation support on sophisticated mechanical electro-mechanical and electronic systems. What you will do as a Mobile Unit Service Technician II:
- Manages STERIS assets utilizing electronic inventory management platform to maintain inventory tools personal protective equipment vehicle etc. to prescribed levels.
- Perform fundamental troubleshooting repairs and maintenance of STERIS and competitive equipment systems and components.
- Manages time effectively by prioritizing Customer and business needs and schedules autonomously to complete PM performance service calls warranty calls equipment installations field upgrade programs and other duties.
- Perform daily administrative duties using multiple application platforms and technology equipment (laptop smartphone related software). This includes but is not limited to scheduling effective communication managing parts trunk stock daily completion of service reports and activities while on site; Learning new technologies and software applications as they become available to improve productivity.
- All other duties as assigned.
The Knowledge Skills and Experience Needed:
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED with minimum of 6 years of progressive work experience including 3 years mechanical/technical directly related experience (mechanical electrical plumbing HVAC automotive etc.).
- Successful in achieving ESS II training and promotional requirements.
- Customer and team engagement experience.
- Basic computer skills (MS windows/email navigation mobile app data input into multi systems).
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid drivers license and the ability meet all required background and physical assessment elements to obtain & maintain existing and new vendor credentialing requirements.
- Ability to work flexible hours sometimes outside normal business hours and including overnight travel (amount may vary based on district geography).
Preferred:
- 2 years experience repairing STERIS equipment (Washers Sterilizers)
Pay range for this opportunity is$30.04-$38.87.This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors including but not limited to local labor market costs years of relevant experience education professional certifications foreign language fluency etc.
