AVP / Director Enterprise Risk Management (ERM Actuary)
Greenwich CT
A global specialty insurance organization is seeking an AVP / Director ERM Actuary to join its Enterprise Risk Management team. This is a highvisibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership focused on casualty and professional liability risk accumulation analytics and grouplevel risk reporting. This position offers a blend of handson analytical work and strategic leadership ideal for someone who enjoys deep problemsolving businessoriented risk insights and improving ERM processes through structure and automation.
What Youll Do
Casualty & Professional Liability Accumulation
- Lead groupwide casualty accumulation analytics from data pipeline design to executiveready insights
- Partner closely with business units to validate assumptions and interpret results
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to design scalable automated solutions
- Model complex reinsurance protections and tailrisk exposures
Risk Assessment & Group Reporting
- Drive enterprisewide risk assessment processes across domestic and international entities
- Translate analytical findings into clear decisionready insights for senior executives
- Prepare and review grouplevel ERM reports for leadership rating agencies and regulators
Emerging Risk & Strategic Research
- Evaluate exposure to cyber risk and potential systemic events
- Research climate change artificial intelligence and other emerging risks impacting P&C portfolios and investments
- Develop casualty stress scenarios and author ERM thought leadership for internal distribution
What Were Looking For
- 5 years of experience in casualty or professional liability insurance or reinsurance
- ACAS or FCAS strongly preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical mindset with sound business judgment
- Ability to lead complex projects from concept through executive communication
- Comfortable working directly with data models and analytical workflows
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with data visualization and ETL workflows a plus
- Interest in automation and AIenabled tools to improve efficiency a plus

Comp Range
