Position Overview:

Responsible for performing a variety of sewing tasks to fabricate and assemble boat components. This role involves working with various materials including vinyl clear vinyl and carpet to produce high-quality products that meet manufacturing specifications.

Essential Functions:

• Operate industrial sewing machines to sew and assemble boat components ensuring precision and quality.
• Cut fit and handle various fabrics and materials including vinyl clear vinyl and carpet.
• Follow patterns and measurements accurately to maintain consistency in the final product.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Previous experience in sewing or upholstery preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and handling various fabrics including vinyl and carpet.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to patterns and measurements.
• Ability to stand for long periods lift and move materials and handle repetitive tasks.
• Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to sewing and upholstery processes.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure precision and quality in sewing tasks.
• Ability to stand for long periods lift and move materials and handle repetitive tasks.

Working Conditions:

• Maintain cleanliness ensure safety compliance to include PPE adherence safety policy adherence and safe behaviors and conditions.
• Must possess the desire and ambition to always work safely and report all hazards to their supervisor immediately.
• Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA DEP and other regulatory agencies.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated including but not limited to safety glasses hearing protection gloves etc.

The anticipated hiring range for this position is $20.50 to $23.18 hourly. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills relevant experience business needs and geographic location. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidates qualifications and the business context.
