Job Summary: | The Anschutz Health and Wellness Center (CU AHWC) at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus has openings for hourly part-time Group Exercise Instructors for the Fitness Center. This position has an average of 3 hours per week. The Centers mission is to empower individuals to achieve healthier lives and create healthier communities through sustainable life-long changes in diet physical activity and personal health management. The successful candidates will be service-oriented enthusiastic and dedicated to providing quality care and promoting wellness. The Fitness Center provides over 40 group exercise classes every position leads the classes and are responsible for music choreography and any need certifications to lead the will provide group fitness classes monitor and educate patrons on fitness while maintaining an enjoyable atmosphere for our patrons. More about the Fitness Center: The 30000 ft2 three story Fitness Center at AHWC features state-of-the-art Technogym cardiovascular and Matrix resistance exercise equipment along with three dedicated studios for group exercise classes a functional training space (FIT Lab) indoor track pool hot tub locker rooms with dedicated steam rooms and saunas and fitness assessment technology. The Fitness Center offers complimentary fitness consultation sessions group exercise personal training services and massage. The Fitness Center supports over 3100 members from the campus and community. The Fitness Center business operations are overseen by Fitness Center General Manager and Assistant General Manager. The Fitness Center has more than 50 employees. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship. Anticipated Pay Range: | The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $20.11-$24.94/hour Instructors are compensated for donning and doffing (pre-class set up and post-class clean up) time for each class taught. For example if an instructor teaches a 60-minute class they are compensated for 90 minutes of their time.. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
