The Golf Cart Attendant plays an essential role in ensuring smooth and efficient transportation for fairgoers event staff vendors and VIPs. Attendants are responsible for safely operating golf carts assisting passengers and navigating busy fairgrounds while providing excellent customer service. This role requires attentiveness professionalism and strong communication skills to enhance the overall experience for attendees.
Responsibilities
Safely operate a golf cart to transport guests staff vendors and VIPs to designated areas within the fairgrounds.
Provide exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting passengers with seating and loading/unloading as needed.
Navigate crowded areas while adhering to designated driving routes and following all safety guidelines.
Assist individuals with mobility challenges ensuring a comfortable and secure ride.
Monitor and maintain the cleanliness fuel/charge level and overall condition of the golf cart before and after shifts.
Communicate with event coordinators security and other staff to coordinate transportation needs and provide event updates.
Provide directions and answer questions from fair attendees regarding event schedules attractions and amenities.
Report any mechanical issues safety concerns or incidents to event management immediately.
Assist with minor event logistics such as transporting supplies or helping vendors move equipment.
Maintain a positive and professional attitude even in high-traffic and high-stress situations.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills
Must be at least 18 years old with a valid drivers license.
Previous experience driving golf carts or similar vehicles is preferred but not required.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to safely navigate crowded areas while remaining attentive to surroundings.
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
Ability to work long hours including early mornings late nights weekends and holidays.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions (heat rain wind etc.).
Basic knowledge of the fairground layout and key locations is a plus.
Ability to lift and carry light objects if needed (event signage small equipment etc.).
