Senior Ice Engineer | Full-Time | Enmarket Arena

TheSenior Ice EngineerwillmanageallIceoperations in the facility in addition tomaintainingHVAC aspects of theEnmarketArena during events and non-event days.Position will manage all aspects of ice rinkincluding scheduling and trainingstaffand help to control and monitorEnmarketArena mechanical systems throughout the facility.

This role pays an annual salary of $70000-$80000

TheEnmarketArena bolstersentertainment intheSoutheast by hosting must-see national touring concerts family shows comedians and more.The venue also expandedsports in the region by introducing a tenant ECHL hockey team the Savannah Ghost Piratesalong with presenting professionalcollegiateand amateur sporting events.

• Manage anddevelop operating procedures that conform to corporate standardsspecific to theiceoperations departmentat theEnmarketArena.
• Under guidance from the Chief Engineer performs preventative maintenance and repairs onEnmarketArena mechanical systems including but not limited to building chillers ice plant pumps boilers airhandlersand all other building assets as needed.
• Overseeing part time operations staff members for facilitysetupmaintenanceand iceinstallation.
• Assistin managingfacility maintenanceprogramand development of the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Train all employeesinZamboniresurfacingfire/lifesafetyand emergency procedures.
• Oversee all purchases ofZamboni and ice sheet maintenance equipment.Assistinpurchasingsafety equipmentHVAC equipment.
• Assistin presentingdepartment reviewsinweekly staffmeeting.
• Develop andmaintainworking relationships with all departments.
• Know and guarantee all laws codes ordinances policies procedures risk management safety precautions rules/regulationsand emergency procedures are followed.
• Installingmaintaining and repairing allEnmarketArena mechanical systems.
• Reading technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Troubleshooting building systems usingappropriate testingdevices.
• Repairing and replacing equipment plumbing equipment and fixtures.
• Maintains andoverseedepartmental equipment;notifyChief Engineerasadditionalequipment is neededandscheduleservices.
• Oversee andmonitorallice eventsconversionand housekeeping crews provideteam support as.Ensuring proper scheduling ofthird-partyemployeeson eventandnon-event days.
• Investigate analyze and resolve operational problems and complaints.
• Act asliaisonbetween clients and facility contractors as needed.
• Delivertimelyandaccurateinformation tooperations staff for propersetup andice maintenance at facility.
• Troubleshootequipment issues includingZamboni forkliftgolf cartsfloor scrubbers carpetcleanersand lawn equipment.
• Preventative maintenance of Zambonis iceedgerand blade changes.
• Ensure preventative maintenanceof allfacilityequipment
• Assistwithevent load ins and load outs that are typically early inthemornings and/or late into theevenings.
• Works with third party vendors and operations managers toupkeepEnmarketArena.
• Assistas neededin Ice installation maintenance operationsand coordination across all OVG Savannah properties includingPort Wentworth Ice CoveVystarPavillion Johnny Mercer Theatre and any future projects.

• Bachelors/Technical degree from an accredited college/university/school.
• Mustpossessa demonstrated basic knowledge of methods principles and practicesfor the operation repair and maintenance of all systems such as HVAC plumbing electrical and mechanical codes.
• Preferred but notto understand LEED Certified Buildings and take initiatives toward it.
• Minimumfour(4) years experienceinIceArena/Entertainment Venue Experience andfacilityandoperationsmanagement.
• Minimum offour (2)years experience supervising/training personnel.
• Relatedexperienceand/ortraininginthepublicassemblyindustryinasupervisoryor management position.
• Must be able toworkaflexible scheduleincludingearly mornings evenings weekendsholidaysand extended number of consecutive days.
• Experience managing and training a team.
• Proficient knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Officesoftwarestandard office equipment includingcopierand faxmachine.
• Demonstrate knowledge in operational procedures facility capabilities industry terminology event-related services and technical requirements for the types of eventsanticipatedat the facility.
• Knowledge in a hockey facility includingiceinstallationZamboniand ice edger. Possessa demonstratedknowledge of NHL/AHL/ECHLstandard rules regulations policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of operational characteristics of events including crowd management and control techniques; fire and public safety regulationspreferred.
• Mustpossessa demonstrated ability to read andcomprehendblueprints drawings and other related materials.
• Operate equipment such asZambonipallet jacksgolf cartsforklifts boom lifts scrubbing machines or other light power-driven equipment.
• Self-motivatedwith excellent interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to function and make management decisions in afast-pacedhigh-pressureenvironment with strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with othersinboth oral and written form.
• Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and/or stringent schedule and produceaccurateresults.
