Job Summary

Orka Financial is partnering with a leading business based in Andover who are looking to recruit an Assistant Financial Accountant to join their clients established finance team. Youll support the month-end close across multiple entities.

This is great opportunity for an AAT/ACCA/CIMA studier who is looking to take their next step within their finance career.

Key Duties

Support month-end close across multiple entities
Prepare and post journals including accruals and prepayments
Maintain the fixed asset register and run monthly depreciation
Complete balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
Deliver accurate monthly reporting within group deadlines
Assist with VAT returns
Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements
Support year-end audits liaising with external auditors
Identify and implement process improvements within the finance function

Experience

Proven knowledge of supporting a finance team
Studying a professional accounting qualification AAT/ACCA/CIMA
Intermediate EXCEL skills
Salary up to 35000 depending upon experience (Hybrid working model)
