This individual willpartnerwiththe General Managers throughout the region to drive aftermarket and product support initiatives while providing leadership to the Regional Aftermarket Manager(s).He/she will provide a work environment that willdrivethe profitablegrowth of the business the personal growth of team members and the satisfaction of customers.
Specific Duties Include:
- Demonstrate leadership in all aspects of the aftermarket and support departments within the region.
- Coach and developdirect reports as well as Department Managers (in coordination with the General Managers and/or Store Managers)by focusing on long-term growth and developmentwhile empowering individuals to own and drive results in their area of responsibility.
- Develop and drive programs/initiativesthatenableCustomer Service Advisorstogeneratenew businessbeyondour traditional customer base.
- Partner with the regional management team to develop andexecutestrategic initiativesto include Vermeermanufacturing Aftermarket initiativesto drive growth in the Aftermarket departments.
- Develop criteria tomonitorprogressto ensure achievement of established goals.
- Develop andmaintaineffectiveserviceandpartsdepartment processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Assistin creating annual parts and service department benchmarksin alignment with the financial and operationalobjectives.
- Partner withmanagementtomonitorthe operations and financials of theparts and servicedepartments as it relatesto performance staffing process profitability growth strategy and safety practices.
- Activelyparticipatein theregional business review process.
- Participate in the Vermeer Life Cycle counselwith Vermeer manufacturing.
- Develop implement and manage consistent programs in relation to customer relationships which would include; Marketing (Store and Regional Approach) communication best practice sharing.
- Oversee the development and implementation ofboth internal and external training to include career path initiatives customer programsandtechnician training.
- Ensure thatappropriate communicationstake place throughout the location/s byfacilitating/participating in monthly open-book meetings conducting regular team meetings encouraging an open-door policy and proactively seeking feedback from team members.
- Foster an engagedwork environment within the location/s encouraging accountability open communication teamwork and a commitment to serving the customer.
- Lead and manage all business and/or department activities related to ensuring the customer experience is positive and that all team members are committed to creating solutions andlong termrelationships with customers.
- Ensure that the company/location reputation and image in the community is consistent with RDOEquipment Values and that business relationships with all stakeholders are not compromised.
- Responsible for ensuring that sound and safe business practices and processes are implemented and continuously improved toeffectively and efficiently achieve ethical business objectives.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere toall policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook.
- Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training in an effort to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set.
- Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers management and support resources with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
- Perform all otherduties asassigned by management in a professional and efficient manner.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to drive sales performance and elevate team capabilities throughcoaching oneffective sales strategies/techniques.
- Proven businessand peoplemanagement experience.
- Operationalexpertisein sales parts and service.
- Excellent analytical andproblem solvingskills.
- Knowledge of construction and/or Vermeer dealership business operations.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- College degree preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 65%(primarily within the AOR)
- Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
