Responsibilities / Tasks

The Bulk Loader is responsible for the packaging of all products within all specifications procedures and set-up.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned:

• Follow all manufacturing procedures per GMP and FDA requirements.
• Responsible for maintaining a constant flow of production consistent with established production and quality standards.
• Prepare packaging materials in order to fill seal and palletize various packages according to manufacturing order.
• Ensure that product is being filled in appropriate pre-labeled containers.
• Monitor the appearance and fill levels of the materials being packaged.
• Monitor the operation of the equipment being utilized.
• Properly write up production tags with the amount of packaged product and accurately report on batch ticket.
• May be required to assist with unloading of empty drum trailers and other warehousing functions.
• Maintain a clean and neat appearance of the immediate work area.
• Follow all safety instructions and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned

Your Profile / Qualifications

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required:

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant apprenticeship formal training or 2-5 years of experience.

• Familiarity with industry practices concepts and procedures.

• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily.

• Be certified to operate various forklift trucks.

• Be familiar with operating procedures for conveyors scales hoists meters etc.

• Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.

• Ability to compute rate ratio and percent and to read and interpret metal rule.

• Be familiar with procedures such as lock-out/tag-out confined space HAZMAT forklift safety and various other safety measures.

• The employee is occasionally required to do over the head lifting.

• While performing the duties of this job the employee occasionally works with regulated hazardous chemical products and is exposed to dust odors and fumes.

• The employee may be occasionally required to work in hot and humid and / or cold conditions.

• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $15.50-$20.00 per hour. GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States. The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. The estimated range is the budgeted amount for the position. Final offers are based on various factors including skill set experience location qualifications and other job-related reasons. You may be eligible for additional rewards such as discretionary bonus (based on eligibility) and/or equity awards.
