Senior Construction Project Engineer

Seeking a Senior Construction Project Engineer for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Cape Canaveral FL.

Salary is between $137000 - $178000 per year (based on experience)

The Senior Construction Project Engineer supports the successful execution of assigned projects by ensuring alignment with technical scope schedule budget safety and quality objectives. This role provides technical leadership supports project planning and execution and collaborates closely with the Project Manager to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Travel or temporary relocation may be required.

Responsibilities:

• Lead technical execution of construction projects to meet scope schedule and financial goals.

• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance throughout project lifecycle.

• Interpret design documents manage technical submittals and oversee inspections and testing documentation.

• Monitor subcontractor and craft performance; manage RFIs and coordinate with engineering teams.

• Review subcontractor work plans and proactively identify and mitigate risks.

• Support development of project cost and schedule baselines.

• Manage master schedules and short-term look-ahead planning.

• Coordinate permitting environmental approvals and regulatory compliance.

• Promote strong safety and quality programs.

• Lead commissioning closeout and turnover processes.

Qualifications:

• BS in Construction Management Engineering or related field.

• 8 years of progressive construction industry experience.

• Strong knowledge of estimating scheduling and project controls.

• Experience with Procore or similar construction management software preferred.

• TAKT planning experience a plus.

• Strong communication and client-facing skills.

• Willingness to travel as needed.
