What will you do
TheTitle Clerkis responsible forhaving a general understanding of all aspects of the accounting office in a dealership. This includesexpertiseoflaws and regulations related to registering and titling a vehicle in the state andjurisdictionthat the dealership addition having a general knowledge ofout of statejurisdictions. In addition this position willbe responsible forhandlingon sitecash receipts and balancing daily cash deposits.
The position willassistin verifying invoice approvaldeterminingproper account classification and approval of disbursementsaccountsreceivable maintenance and preparing journal entries. They will alsobe responsible forscanning documents for processing. The position requires attentive detailed analysis checking for proper authorization the ability to completeaccuratereconciliationsand general understanding of the general ledger accounts.
- Process car deals both in and out of stateincludingbreaking down deal jacketssubmittingcheck requests for payoffs processing licensing inCVRsubmittingtitling paperwork to out of state third parties for processing signing off on titles accurately issuing DMV refund checks and other related tasks.
- Review contract documents for proper compliance with regulations and per Holman policy
- Troubleshooting and problem resolution specific to titles; odometer discrepancies power of attorney etc.
- Reconcileappropriate accountschedules
- Prepare journal entries
- Perform other duties as assigned or requested to assureoptimumservice levels including ad-hoc accounting projects
- Contribute to and encourage others todemonstratea team focused values based service culture throughout the company
- Answer customer inquiries or concerns in person e-mailfaxor telephone in a professional customer- focused manner
What are we looking for
- Minimum of 1 year of titling experiencerequired
- Dealership experience highly preferred
- Reliablepunctualand dependable attendance
- Ability to prioritize and adhere to regulatory and internal deadlines.
- Ability to use Excel and MS Office.
- Excellent communication and customer relations skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good analytical andproblem solvingskills.
- Good organizational skills and time management
Compensation
$20-24/hr
Schedule
Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
