Raytheon Vision Systems (RVS) has been a technology development and manufacturing leader of infrared systems forover 70 years and it continues to be one of the industry stakeholders in the production of high-tech vision products for a variety of space tactical and commercial applications. RVS is seeking an experienced Sr. Program Quality Engineer to implement and develop quality engineering and customer quality flow-down requirements throughout proposal and program life cycle supporting our factory located in Goleta CA.

What You Will Do

• Create or tailor existing quality planning to administer customer and internal quality requirements
• Implement Quality Engineering responsibilities as a member of a program integrated product team (IPT)
• Ensure programmatic and technical risks are identified contained and managed throughout each phase of business pursuit and program implementation
• Ensure Quality Engineering engagement in program development design test requirements and verification including the transition of design to production
• Lead multi-functional teams in problem resolution and continuous improvement activities with an emphasis on 8D Six Sigma Lean practices and other critical thinking improvement methods and resources
• Manage the completion of Internal First Article Inspections (FAIs)
• Guide business and program performance utilizing predictive and proactive measures and metrics
• Maintain positive relationships with program administration cross-functional program stakeholders suppliers customers and government representatives.

Qualification You Must Have

• Requires bachelors degree in science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).

• Experience using quality inspection methodology

• Experience using MS Office tools (excel word)

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

*Experience may be obtained through onthejob experience research coursework or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Preferred majors in manufacturing mechanical or industrial engineering
• Working experience with Quality Management Systems such as: IS0 9001AS9100.
• Infrared industry semiconductor processing or DoD industry experience.
• Experience with Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) methodology systems and resources.
• Experience with statistical and metrics software (e.g. Minitab).
• Experience with factory systems and software (e.g. SAP Windchill).
• Ability to collaborate with program team members to develop practical solutions to complex problems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word Excel and PowerPoint.

  The salary range for this role is 62900 USD - 119700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
