Supplier Engineer [Req #Y9656]

As a subject-matter expert evaluate technical requirements of new and existing products. Apply knowledge of qualified sources and products to recommend materials to Design Engineering which would result in savings lead time reductions system improvements ease of manufacturing increased life and/or mitigated risk. Work with New Product Development teams to ensure the integrity and clarity of engineering drawing requirements and that all expectations are communicated effectively to supporting suppliers. Liaise with New Product Introduction teams to ensure suppliers are involved in the development and review of specifications to promote design for manufacturability. Participate in the Supplier Selection Process to develop a supply base that provides competitive advantage in quality value/cost delivery and technology. Lead the supplier technical audit process and evaluates supplier performance and capability drive continuous improvement opportunities at supplier. Train supplier engineers on the supplier audit and evaluation process. Lead quality problem resolutions and incident management drive root cause and correction action. Identify and drive broad based systemic supplier resolutions at the process level. Assist in cost planning by monitoring key cost drivers supply markets to ensure a competitive advantage. Assist Engineering by challenging existing manufacturing methods to recommend and develop a more cost effective and/or more reliable products that will improve our competitive position. As Quartz Subject Matter Expert responsible for Quartz engineering; work with worldwide top 4 Quartz suppliers familiar with Semiconductor Quartz parts manufacturing BKM understand manufacturing IPs of Single Rings Liner Shaft Dome Window Blade. Produce Semiconductor Epi six arms quartz shaft and Semiconductor Epi 300mm Domes. Review and release Applied Materials supplier Tech Assessment Form P2-6. Domestic travel required (20%).Requirements: Bachelors degree or foreign degree equivalent in Manufacturing Technology Mechanical Engineering Supply-Chain Management or related field and 10 years in any occupation in which quartz subject matter experience for semiconductor equipment industry was knowledge and/or experience in each of the following: tool parts: Quartz shaft Dome Single ring Liner Blade Nozzle Tube manufacturing Best Known Methods; parts: Chambers Frames Gasline Piping and Laser beam welding for Bellows enclosure magnets and E-Chuck Cooling base Brazing; supplier qualifications and quality issue resolutions; cadence review; technical requirements of new and existing range: $144914 - $210125 per yearTO APPLY: Please email your resume to and include the Req #Y9656 in the subject line.#LI-DNI
