Where Youll Make a Difference
- Operate and maintain process equipment across multiple areas with an initial focus on smallscale fermentation process laboratories.
- Troubleshoot and repair control loops (010 volts direct current and 420 milliamp) electrical and electronic systems and process instrumentation including load cells pH temperature agitation and pressure transmitters.
- Use diagnostic tools such as digital volt meters (DVMs) ohm meters oscilloscopes and current loop analyzers.
- Interpret and work from piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and electrical blueprints for process equipment.
- Perform preventive electrical and mechanical maintenance on a wide range of process equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all safety rules regulations and site procedures.
- Provide clear timely and professional communication to internal customers and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Support operational needs by working Monday to Friday 7:00 AM 4:00 PM with flexibility to cover alternative shifts (10:30 AM 6:30 PM) for approximately 30 days 23 times per year as business needs require.
What Makes You the Right Fit
- 13 years of experience working with process equipment building maintenance or equivalent technical training.
- Associate degree (AA/AS) in Electrical Electronic and/or Instrumentation Technologies or equivalent technical competency.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical electronic pneumatic and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams schematics and blueprints.
- Proficiency with basic mechanical systems standard hand tools and safety practices.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and perform handson technical work.
- Flexibility to work alternative shifts overtime weekends and participate in an emergency oncall rotation as required by business needs.
How Would You Stand Out
- Exposure to programmable logic controller (PLC) platforms such as Rockwell Siemens or GE Fanuc.
- Familiarity with humanmachine interface (HMI) and supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems including Intouch WINcc Inductive Automation or ControlLogix.
- Experience working with industrial controls and instrumentation systems.
