Special Education Teacher Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction to elementary students with diverse learning needs
• Develop implement and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Manage a student caseload including case management responsibilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers related service providers (SLPs OTs PTs) and families
• Foster a positive inclusive classroom environment that supports student engagement and growth
• Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet individual student needs and learning styles
• Maintain accurate documentation progress monitoring and compliance records
• Communicate regularly with families and school staff

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education
• Valid Massachusetts Special Education License/Endorsement (or eligibility)
• Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Strong communication organization and collaboration skills
