The hours and location youll work in as a Diesel Mechanic with WM:

• The role operates on a rotating schedule consisting of two weeks on a 5:00 AM shift and two weeks on a 10:00 AM shift.
• Possible weekends (Saturday) and OT
• Were committed to offering you stable hours for the financial security and work life balance you need.
• The normal setting for this job is a repair / maintenance shop at our Elizabeth PA site.
• Advanced Technical Training Required in Arizona for 2 weeks upon hire.

Each day youll fix the trucks and equipment that service over 20 million customers across the USA. As a Diesel Mechanic you can take pride in watching a truck roll out of the shop knowing your local community will be supported by your hard work. Youll be using modern tools and procedures to deliver exceptional maintenance on both diesel equipment and at some locations on our growing fleet of CNG trucks.

• Repairs as needed equipment (including but not limited to bulldozers scrapers backhoes front end loaders yard trucks farm tractors forklifts and company cars).
• Diagnoses and repairs differentials hydraulic systems motors transmissions drives air conditioning systems and electrical systems.
• Performs tasks per preventative maintenance checklist.
• Completes records such as work orders card files P.M. checklists and oil samples.
• Services and maintains other equipment such as light plants water pump welders and other equipment.
• Reference site-specific procedures and more detailed site-specific job descriptions.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

What do you need to be considered for the role of Diesel Mechanic

• 2 years of relevant work experience
• A valid drivers license with a clean driving record
• Be over 18 years of age.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
