MicroMolecular Medical Technologist

Lighthouse Lab Services seeks a skilled and motivated Micro/Molecular Medical Technologist to support daily operations within a fast-growing high-complexity laboratory. This role will provide testing support including molecular microbiology and some chemistry ensuring quality efficiency and full compliance with CLIA regulations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on strong technical expertise a passion for process improvement and experience working in high-throughput laboratory environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Performance & Result Integrity

• Perform high-complexity testing across multiple departments in accordance with CLIA standards and internal SOPs
• Review verify and release patient results with accuracy; serve as the escalation point for complex testing questions and troubleshooting
• Maintain instrumentation through QC calibration and routine maintenance flag issues early and follow through on resolution

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure adherence to CLIA QA and safety standards in day-to-day bench work
• Maintain accurate documentation SOP compliance and data integrity support inspection readiness and internal audit preparation

Skills & Competencies

• Technical depth across multiple lab disciplines especially related to Microbiology and Molecular Testing
• Strong troubleshooting instincts; comfortable working through ambiguous problems without waiting for someone to hand you the answer
• Clear communicator who can explain technical issues to colleagues and clinicians alike
• Process-minded
• Calm under pressure and effective when the workload spikes

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Science Clinical Laboratory Science Biology or related field
• ASCP or equivalent certification preferred
• 2-4 years of hands on clinical laboratory experience including high-complexity testing preferably in a microbiology and molecular settings with UTI/STI panels as well as bacterial or fungal culture work
• Solid understanding of CLIA regulations and quality systems
• Experience with automated and semi-automated instrumentation in a high-throughput setting
• Experience using QuantStudio KingFisher Flex Gene Expert and BD Phoenix/AP instruments a plus

Salary Benefits and Shift:

• Salary: $25-$35/hour
• Shift: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm
