Position Description
The Department of Human Nutrition invites applications for a part-time Academic Instructor to teach HNU 356 (Introduction to Food Service & Quantity Food Production) (3 credits) during the fall term of the 2026-2027 academic year. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
This course will be taught in person and will introduce students to food service systems and quantity food production principles policies and practices applied to the successful operation of quantity food service systems.
We seek applicants with an advanced degree in Human Nutrition and experience in Food Service and with Quantity Food production equipment. Applicants should also have experience teaching and possess strong communication skills. The successful applicant will be a Registered Dietitian registered with (or eligible for registration/licensure with) the Nova Scotia Regulator of Dietetics (NSRD) and show a commitment to supporting and advancing the universitys goals related to equity diversity and inclusion.
About the Department
The Department offers a four-year program leading to a BSc in Human Nutrition and BSc in Human Nutrition Honours degrees and has an Integrated Dietetic Internship Program.
