Canadian Banking Compliance is fully independent of the business lines as a second line of defense and independent regulatory compliance and conduct risk management function.We areaccountable for assessing the adequacyofadherence to and effectiveness of the day-to-day Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) and conduct risk controls of the business units that they supportCanadian Banking Compliance is responsible for overseeing Regulatory Compliance in accordance with the Enterprise Regulatory Compliance Management Framework (ERCMF). We provide ongoing regulatory support for TD Bank Groups lines of business as mandated under the primary governing regulatory body the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada (FCAC

JOB DESCRIPTION

The candidate should beaobjective thinking and able to prioritize multipleinitiatives.Providea range of support guidancereportingand analysis to businesses/internal team members on Compliance/Centre of Excellence issues and related program risks and issues.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently enrolled in anundergraduate degreein Finance Accounting Analytics Data Business/Commerceor relatedfield

  • Could includeLaw studies

  • Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree with the intent of going back to school at the start of your work term(requirement of all co-op/intern positions)

  • Provides specialized analysis reporting and operational support to the Compliance team

  • Second or third yearunder graduate

  • Advanced MS Office skills preferred

  • Ability tooperatein an evolving sometimes ambiguous environment

  • Ability to understand regulatory requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment delivering on priorities under tight deadlines

  • Superior organizational skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact and communicate at all levels of the organization

  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
