Job Summary

General Information

The Cowichan Valley Regional District is now accepting applications from prospective candidates to join our organization as a casual Food & Beverage II in the Cowichan Lake Recreation Division within the Community Services Department. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Coordinator the Food & Beverage II effectively performs duties assigned by the Food & Beverage Coordinator including cooking and prep cooking serving cashiering washing dishes bussing tables and performs banquet concession cleaning and sanitation work. The Food & Beverage II provides professional service to patrons ensuring their satisfaction including responding to inquiries with tact and directing concerns to the appropriate sources.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school graduation or the equivalent combination of education training and experience.
  • Experience in cooking and food preparation short order cooking concession-style cooking and banquet work.
  • Food Safe Basic Certificate
  • Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License-- employer provided vehicle
  • Basic First Aid certificate

Hours of Work

As this is a casual opportunity there are no guaranteed hours of work. Due to the nature of the position the successful candidate must be prepared to work a flexible variety of shifts including days & evenings on weekdays & weekends.

Salary

This non-union casual opportunity has a wage range in two steps$21.03 - $22.24 per hour (2025 rates) as per the Non-Union Wage Scale.
