Overview
Ford of Southwest Houston part of the fast-growing Group 1 Automotive and a leader in automotive retail is seeking a dynamic Used Vehicle Sales Manager to drive inventory strategy sales performance and team development. This role requires a multifaceted leader who can balance inventory acquisition financial performance and team leadership to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage used vehicle inventory including appraising trades sourcing vehicles pricing and overseeing reconditioning
- Drive sales performance by forecasting budgeting and achieving monthly volume and gross profit targets
- Lead and develop the sales team through hiring coaching and performance management
- Assist in closing deals and support sales staff to maximize opportunities and customer experience
- Analyze market trends and adjust inventory and pricing strategies to remain competitive (including daily pricing updates)
- Partner with F&I to optimize financing and product penetration
- Oversee marketing efforts and ensure strong online inventory presence
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and handle escalated concerns
Qualifications
- 2 years of Automotive Sales Management experience (used vehicle experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of inventory management appraisals and market pricing strategies
- Proven ability to drive sales performance and manage KPIs (volume gross turn)
- Excellent leadership coaching and communication skills
- High energy self-motivated and comfortable in a performance-driven environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and dealership systems
- Valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
