Job Summary:
The Materials Handler supports inventory control cycle counting and shipping operations. This role involves preparing shipments maintaining inventory accuracy and operating material handling equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare pack and ship products (boxing crating palletizing)
- Process shipments (labels bills of lading packing lists)
- Perform inventory and cycle counts; investigate discrepancies
- Load/unload materials using forklifts and other equipment
- Maintain accurate inventory records and documentation
- Support continuous improvement (Lean/CI initiatives)
- Read and interpret BOMs SOAs and work instructions
- Perform transactions in Oracle ERP and related systems
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year experience in inventory or cycle counting
- 1 year MS Office experience
- Forklift operation experience
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic math and communication skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Oracle ERP
- Knowledge of inventory control and root cause analysis
- Experience with BOMs and warehouse systems
- Familiarity with continuous improvement processes
