Job Summary
Senior IT Systems Engineer
Washington DC (On-site) Full-Time Proposal-Based / Contingent Upon Award
Overview Synertex is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to support enterprise IT infrastructure including hybrid cloud systems identity management and Microsoft 365 environments.
Responsibilities
- Design implement and maintain IT systems and infrastructure
- Administer Microsoft 365 and Azure/Entra ID environments
- Support identity and access management solutions
- Manage system integrations across hybrid cloud environments
- Ensure system performance security and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues
- Support modernization and system optimization initiatives
Required Qualifications
- 6 years of IT systems engineering experience
- Strong experience with:
- Microsoft 365 administration
- Entra ID (Azure AD)
- Hybrid cloud environments
- Experience supporting federal IT systems
- One of the following certifications: Microsoft MCSE / Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) / Azure Solutions Architect / VMware VCP (active)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Cisco networking or firewall experience
- Virtualization experience (VMware etc.)
- Experience with cloud migration or modernization efforts
- Preferred certifications: Security; CCNA; RHCE; ITIL v4
