The Field Service Engineer provides expert installation troubleshooting repair and maintenance support to ensure reliable machine performance and high customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Install CNC machine tool systems and all accessories at customer sites
- Troubleshoot and identify causes of mechanical hydraulic pneumatic or application issues
- Coordinate resolutions and suggest repairs or replacements for CNC tools
- Provide on-site and remote support to customers distributors and colleagues
- Manage projects and deliver training as needed
- Assist with trade shows and service support as required
- Travel 100% including overnight and occasional weekend trips
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Mechatronics Electrical Mechanical Industrial Engineering or related field or equivalent experience
- 3 years machine tool maintenance/technology experience (electrical and mechanical)
- 3 years remote technical support in the machine tool industry
- 3 years installation/maintenance of machining centers including CNC geometry checks and adjustments
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of PLC programming/troubleshooting control systems FANUC Controls and power circuits
- Experience with Microsoft suite of products (Word Excel PowerPoint etc.)
- OSHA-10 Certification in General Industry or Construction
