Title: Cyber Systems Engineer - TS/SCI w/ Poly
Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer (TS/SCI w/ Poly) to support our Cyber Mission business unit in Annapolis Junction this role you will support mission-critical systems that automate complex workflows enabling customers to focus on high-priority cyber and intelligence operations.
You will serve as a technical leader across the systems engineering lifecycle working closely with Government stakeholders and cross-functional teams to deliver secure scalable and high-performing solutions. The team operates in an Agile environment and leverages modern engineering and DevOps practices.
This position is performed onsite at a contractor facility with telework flexibility based on tasking and customer approval.
What Youll Do
- Analyze user needs and develop system requirements and specifications
- Develop and contribute to systems engineering documentation (e.g. CONOPS requirements interface control documents)
- Lead system design development and integration efforts
- Guide stakeholders in refining requirements and recommending technical solutions
- Conduct system trade studies and feasibility analyses to optimize lifecycle performance
- Plan and execute system verification and validation activities
- Lead system integration and test planning
- Interface directly with Government stakeholders to resolve technical issues and risks
- Provide technical direction across the full systems engineering lifecycle
- Ensure configuration management and control of system components and documentation
- Define system interfaces including data flow and integration points across complex systems
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance with current polygraph is required
- Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related technical field andTwenty (20) years of experience as a Systems Engineer supporting programs of similar scope type and complexity
- Five (5) years of additional Systems Engineering experience may be substituted for a degree
- Demonstrated experience leading systems engineering efforts across the full lifecycle
- Experience developing and implementing Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) solutions
- Experience conducting system trade studies and lifecycle optimization analyses
- Experience managing system configuration (hardware software and documentation)
- Experience developing scalable system design solutions considering cost risk and growth
- Knowledge of current and evolving engineering standards and best practices
- Experience defining system interfaces including origination destination and data characteristics
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with agency dataflow and reporting solutions
- Experience defining performance availability scalability and security requirements for large-scale systems
- Experience leading Agile development teams
- Experience integrating COTS and GOTS solutions across multiple vendors
- Experience with cloud or clustered storage environments
- Experience developing secure compliant solutions aligned with policy and regulatory requirements

Target Salary Range
$135000 - $216000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position the individuals experience education knowledge skills and competencies as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position employees may be eligible for overtime shift differential and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
