Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Med/Surg Telemetry
Location: Massena NY
Shift: Day Shift 3x12 Hours (07:30 AM 07:30 PM)
Duration: 13 Weeks
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in an acute care setting. The RN will manage a diverse patient population monitor cardiac rhythms and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care for Med/Surg Telemetry patients
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to dysrhythmias
- Administer medications including blood products per protocol
- Manage central lines PICC lines and peripheral IVs
- Initiate and maintain IV therapy
- Utilize rapid response and code teams when necessary
- Deliver respiratory support including BiPAP/CPAP HFNC and oxygen therapy
- Implement isolation precautions and ensure proper PPE usage
- Perform patient assessments and document care in EMR (Epic)
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to coordinate care
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience
- Travel Experience: First-time travelers not accepted
- EMR: Epic experience required
- Certifications:
- BLS (AHA) required
- ACLS required
- Skills:
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- IV therapy and line management (central PICC peripheral)
- Blood product administration
- Respiratory support (BiPAP/CPAP HFNC oxygen therapy)
- Emergency response (Rapid Response/Code teams)
