- Total hours a week to be worked 39 - Days of the week to be worked Monday-Friday - Any weekends No - Shift start and end times 7:30-4:30 Monday -Thursday and Friday s 7:30-12:30 (Closed Major Holidays) - Location / address of this position-10 Richland Medical Park Drive Columbia SC 29203 Job Description Summary Performs routine dental prophylaxis participates in patient education trains dental hygiene students with minimal supervision. May require access to storage areas where medications are kept and carry out procedure that require the use of medications. All employees are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Healths values of compassion dignity excellence integrity and teamwork. Perform oral prophylaxis; remove hard and soft deposits and stains from the surfaces of teeth; polish all surfaces of teeth. Apply topical fluoride to the teeth. Expose and develop radiographs. Give oral hygiene instruction and counseling. Provide nutrition and dietary counseling. Make and confirm appointments. Review medical and dental health history. Take and record blood pressure. Chart dental disease. Utilization of Epic Wisdom for charting and charge entry Minimum Qualifications: Education - Associates degree- Dental Hygiene No experience required. 1 year of experience preferred.
