About This Role NurseAmerica is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to step into a key leadership role at a well-established behavioral health facility in the Texas Hill Country. This is an opportunity for a compassionate and clinically strong nursing leader ready to guide teams elevate care standards and make a lasting difference in the lives of patients navigating substance use and mental health challenges.

Key Responsibilities - Provide strategic and operational leadership for all nursing services
- Lead mentor and develop nursing staff and leadership team
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (TJC CMS and state)
- Oversee staffing scheduling and workforce planning
- Drive quality improvement initiatives and monitor clinical outcomes
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Participate in executive leadership and strategic planning
Qualifications - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) strongly preferred
- 3 years RN experience (6 years preferred)
- Behavioral health experience required (psychiatric addiction recovery inpatient/outpatient etc.)
- 2 years of progressive leadership or management experience required
- Prior Director of Nursing or Nurse Manager experience preferred
