Storage Database Lead Engineer

Peratonis seeking an experiencedseniorStorageDatabaseLeadEngineerto join our national intelligence program in Northern Virginia that delivers engineering application development deployment operations upgrades and sustainment of products and services to achieve our clients global missions.

The candidate must havedemonstratedexperience in conceptual thinking and analytical skills to analyze complex problems for resolutions that include interrelationships and dependencies toidentifycommon themes and solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Implement andoptimizethecomputerizeddatabase systems that support the customer infrastructure.

• Implement andmaintainsmooth operation and physical design of databases.

• Conduct performance tuning of indexes and databases.

• Review database design and integration of systems provide backup recovery and make recommendationregardingenhancements and/or improvements.

• Maintain security and integrity controls.

• Formulate policies procedures and standards relating to database management and monitors transaction activity andutilization. May develop stored procedures and/or triggers.

• Administer a variety of database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server and other Database Management Systems (DBMS).

• Develop and enforcedatabase administration and user standards and procedures; auditsmodifies and amends data in systems using SQL commands.

• Oversee the scheduling of database projects database and transaction log backups notifications and database replication between multiple SQL Servers and remote sites.

• Supportthe development and creation of SQL and web-based databases and database systems.

• Review technical designs reports documentation and othertechnicalmaterials produced bythe program.

• Create andmaintainhigh-level reporting systems using products such as Crystal Reports; researches and implements new database and online technology.

• Provide technical support and consultation in the review and acceptance of deliverables related to the system platform modernization.

• Perform database directory maintenance.

• Evaluate the database environment documentitsfunctionand create diagrams ofitsinteractions to support platform modernizationand Database as a Service (DBaaS).

• Supportnumerousdatabasesmaintaincopybooks to coincide with database changes manage Views thatfacilitateinteractionwith database files.

• Managemaintainand secure the customers data storage systems.

• Ensure high data storageavailabilityperformanceand compliance.

• Enforcedata security policies manage accesspermissionsand ensure dataintegrity

• Design storage solutions leads projectsoptimizeperformance and mentor team.

• Serve as the Storage/Database Team Lead

Basic Qualifications:

• Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to pass a Poly clearance.

• Minimum of 12 years of work experience with BS/BA; Minimum of 10 years with MS/MA; preferably with a degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.

• Proven work experience as aDatabaseAdministrator or similar role.

• Good problem-solving skills.

• Strong working knowledge of quality assurance methodologies.

• Ability to follow complex instructions work independently or function in a team as needed.

• Knowledge of commonly used concepts practices and procedures for full product development life-cycle desired.

• Ability to prioritize plan organize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.

• Ability to effectively present to and interact with all levels of management.

• Highly adaptive and flexible to a changing environment.

• CISSP orSecurityCertification.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI with Poly clearances.

• Proficiencyin MS Office 365 MS Windows z/OS JCL Visio COBOLCincomSUPRA PDM andCincomMANTIS (Total-File-Views) and Storage Management.
