Job Description
Responsible for teaching courses and assessing learning outcomes in assigned discipline of Engineering Tech. Assignments may include alternative delivery methods evening courses and multiple sites. Must demonstrate excellence in teaching and service. Must demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of the community college. The qualified candidate will have experience in one or more of these areas: Industrial Maintenance Electrical Motors Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) Industrial Automation and/or Robotics Contract Days: 205 Excellent benefits package and time off: Faculty working a 205-day contract will work 11 months annually and receive Paid time off annually starting at 98 hours sick 16 hours of personal time. Physical Requirements: Ability to use a variety of hand tools and job specific tools Lifting up to 50 pounds to a height of three feet Perform all normal and expected duties of a skilled trade Lifting kneeling squatting climbing crawling stooping turning/twisting balancing reaching and handling with varying frequencies Frequent lifting and carrying pushing or pulling objects
Required Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: A combination of education training and at least 6000 hours of relevant tested experience in the field of instruction in Engineering tech and related fields OR Bachelors Degree in discipline is preferred. Experience in at least one of these fields is ideal: Industrial Maintenance Electrical Motors Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) Industrial Automation and/or Robotics Successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills: Ability to utilize a variety of technology-based instructional tools comfortable teaching in-person online and hybrid environments. Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in electronics hydraulics/pneumatics advanced Programmable Logic Controllers automation industrial robotics and motion control. Civic involvement is desirable.
