The Multi-Product Power & Digital department is responsible for FPGA and hardware designs for electronic warfare radar and effector products. Job responsibilities of this role include activities such as troubleshooting electronics in a lab or production environment performing system and circuit level analysis supporting failure investigations maintaining and creating documentation hardware and/or logic design and interacting with multi-discipline groups including suppliers.

The MPD department is seeking a Power & Analog Design Engineer I to join our team. This position is an onsite role.

What you will do:

• Assist with architecture development at the circuit card level.
• Design analyze test and document analog and power conversion circuitry. Main emphasis is on board-mounted power end use applications.
• Guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing activities with moderate support from senior engineers. Assist in layer stack up definition.
• Support integration and verification activities in engineering laboratories.
• Drive to meet schedule concerns. Define schedules for circuit level tasking.
• Function as an individual contributor.
• Engage in professional growth and development.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or a related Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major
• Typically requires 12 months or less prior relevant experience
• Design analysis simulation and/or test experience with analog electronics design including at least one of the following: FETs/BJTs op-amp high/low/band pass filters clock/data termination and comparator circuits.
• Experience using tools such as MATLAB MathCAD LTSpice Saber or other similar tools.

Qualifications We prefer:

• 3.0 calculative GPA desired from an ABET accredited institution.
• Design analysis simulation and/or test experience with one or more of the following non-isolated converter topologies: buck boost buck-boost.
• Analog and/or Power electronics coursework.
• Knowledge of electrical circuit design analysis and troubleshooting using common lab equipment.
• Experience with lab equipment such as power supplies electronic loads multimeters signal sources oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers

The salary range for this role is 57200 USD - 108800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
