Essential Functions

  • Assesses patients needs upon admission and utilizes the nursing process in providing responsible patient care.
  • Documents all significant information on appropriate patient record.
  • Communicates significant information and collaborates with teammates responsible for or involved in the care of the patient.
  • Anticipates changing patient care needs and department situations.
  • Resolves patient related problems within scope of responsibility.
  • Participates in the facilitys Performance Improvement program.
  • Follows organizational policy and procedure and department protocols and serves as a resource for others.
  • Demonstrates age-specific competency in clinical practice environment.

Physical Requirements
General hospital environment with frequent exposure to chemicals pathogens and patient blood and body fluids. Environment is climate controlled. Frequent lifting pulling pushing and carrying. Frequent walking standing stooping and reaching.



Education Experience and Certifications

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required; Bachelors Degree preferred. License to practice as Registered Nurse or temporary Registered Nurse petitioner in the state of applicable state required. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) from AHA required. Current successful completion of ACLS from AHA required. High-level of problem solving to identify solutions with human technical clinical or administrative problems.
