Systems Engineer (O&M)

Peratonis seeking aSystems Engineer(O&M)to join our team of qualified diverse individuals. This positionislocated inHerndon VA. The qualified applicant will become part ofPeratons Department of State(DOS)Consular Systems Modernization (CSM) Program for the Bureau ofDiplomatic Technology. This initiative is intended to modernize and consolidate the operational environment under a common technology frameworkin order tobetter support the services provided to CAs customers.

Aspart of the modernization programtheSystems Engineerwill provideproduction andoperationalsupport to variousservices running onenterpriseplatforms;deployment orchangeimplementation support;in-depth troubleshooting ofissues;anddevelopmentand updates toKnowledge Base Articles(KBAs). The Systems Engineer must be able to quickly learn business workflowstechnical architecture and dependent systemsas well as service-layer interfaces of supportedservices.The ideal candidate brings strong experience supporting complex modern enterprise environments demonstrates sound engineering judgement and thrives in fast-paced mission-driven operations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Provide overall Production and Operational support for Services deployed on various platforms such as WebLogic SalesforceOpenShift Container Platform and AWS (Kubernetes)

• Perform in-depth troubleshooting of issue at hand by reviewing App Platform and System layer logs as required.

• Participatein24x7 On-call support on weekly rotation.

• Develop and maintain Knowledge Based Articles and SOPs.

• Perform and participate in knowledge share with internal and external teams as required.

• Experience in providing Production support for applications deployed on at least one Enterprise Platform from WebLogic Salesforce OpenShift Container Platform and AWS (Kubernetes).

• Assist in developing enhancing and testing Puppet scripts.

• Must be able to work with multiple cross-functional technical and non-technical teams

• Provide deployment or change implementation support as required.

• Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity audit and configuration management requirements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree and5yearsof experience.

• Experience working in Agile environment.

• At least3yearsof experience in providing production and operational support for Mission Critical Services running on one or more Enterprise platforms such asWebLogic SalesforceOpenShift Container Platform and AWS (Kubernetes).

• At least 5yearsof experience working on Linux OS.

• At least 5yearsof experience in at least one RDBMS (Oracle MySQL Amazon RDS).

• Experience in providing production and operational support forservices running on enterprise platforms
• Must be a US CItizen.

• Must be able to obtain or have an Active Secret (or higher) clearance. Interim clearanceacceptable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in ServiceNow.

• Experience in Agile tools such asJIRA.

• Experience working with Confluence.
