Carolina Outreach is seeking a Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Therapist to join our team in Wilson North Carolina. In this role you will provide individual and group substance use counseling crisis support and treatment planning to individuals working toward recovery.

  • Psychiatric evaluations and medication management

What Youll Do

Provide Clinical Substance Use Treatment

  • Deliver individual and group substance use disorder counseling using evidence-based approaches.

  • Support clients in developing skills for recovery relapse prevention and long-term stability.

  • Provide crisis support and intervention when needed.

Treatment Planning & Care Coordination

  • Develop and maintain Person-Centered Plans (PCPs) that reflect each clients treatment goals.

  • Monitor progress and revise treatment plans as needed.

  • Coordinate services with families community partners and other providers.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation including:

    • Service notes

    • Treatment plans

    • Progress updates

  • Ensure services are authorized and compliant with program requirements.

Client Advocacy

  • Advocate for clients and families within the community.

  • Support connections to natural supports recovery resources and community services.

Additional Responsibilities (May Include)

DWI Services

  • Conduct DWI assessments

  • Facilitate DWI education and treatment groups

  • Provide individual DWI counseling sessions

  • Complete and submit DMV Form 508 documentation

  • Ensure all required fees and documentation are complete prior to submission

Additional duties may be assigned consistent with the responsibilities of a Substance Use Disorder Counselor.

Compensation

Estimated annual income range:

Associate Licensed Clinicians:
$54373 $60168

Fully Licensed Clinicians:
$57234 $64958

Final compensation is determined by factors including education licensure level relevant experience and other qualifications.

Qualifications

Position Qualifications.

  • Education:Masters degree in Pyschology social work or counseling.
  • Licensure:Must hold a LCAS/A in NC.
