JOB IDENTIFICATION

Job Title: Youth Flag Football Supervisor/Instructor

Grade: II

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Department: Recreation

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to: Athletics Supervisor

BASIC FUNCTION

Coordinate and supervise youth flag football camp for participants ages 5-10.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  1. Plans and coordinates practices and games for players.
  2. Coordinates along with the Athletic Supervisor day of game operations and schedules.
  3. Demonstrates knowledge of flag football and the ability to assess and assist childrens progress.
  4. Track attendance of players.
  5. Maintain equipment provided to participants and ensure it is being used correctly.
  6. Communicate any medical or behavior issues with the Athletics supervisor/Parents.
  7. Provide First Aid when necessary
  8. Ensure the safety of all participants throughout all practices and games.
  9. Submit accident and incident reports to supervisor completely and promptly.

OTHER DUTIES

  1. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual and Crisis Manual.
  2. Direct participants in the event of an emergency such as fire severe weather
  3. Communicate with Athletic supervisor regarding any equipment needing repair or replacement
  4. Additional duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Must be 18 years of age or older.

Experience: Some experience or knowledge of the game preferred but not necessary.

Certifications: Valid Illinois Drivers License

CPR and First Aid Certified within 3 months Classes available through Park District upon hire
