Job Summary

The responsibilities also include completing scans effectively and efficiently while maintaining the highest possible standards of patient care to provide the most remarkable patient experience.

Essential Functions
-Patient & Exam Verification: Confirm patient identity using two identifiers (full name and DOB). Review exam orders and clinical history. Prepare and clean equipment and rooms; restock supplies as needed.
-Patient Care & Collaboration: Clearly explain procedures considering patient comfort and confidentiality. Collaborate with leadership to ensure efficient workflow and scanner use. Provide care within the scope of training and licensure.
-Department & On-Call Coverage: Participate in on-call holiday and flexible shift coverage as needed.
-Clinical Performance: Perform ultrasound exams and assist with training staff and students. Operate equipment and follow protocols. Complete additional duties as assigned.
-Research & Quality Initiatives: Support and participate in departmental research QA and improvement projects. Conduct research-related ultrasound exams as required.
Education
Associates Degree Diagnostic Imaging required or Associates Degree Diagnostic Medical Sonographer required and Bachelors Degree Health Sciences preferred

Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer RDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred
Certified Sonographer - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) preferred
