Job Summary
The University of Chicagos Department of Medicine Section of Geriatrics & Palliative Medicine is searching for full-time assistant professors to serve as an Academic Palliative Medicine Physician. Appointees will manage patients on our inpatient palliative medicine consultation service and collaborate in multidisciplinary patient care within our embedded palliative medicine clinics at our main campus or other Chicagoland locations. They may also participate in leading interdisciplinary team meetings and conduct home hospice visits. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students and scholarly activity. Compensation is dependent upon qualifications. These positions are benefits-eligible. Prior to the start of employment qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois and 3) be Board Certified or Eligible in Hospice & Palliative Medicine.
