Role:Senior Production Technology Director

Location: Dallas TX

About the role:

Working in true collaboration with our tech team we are looking for a Senior Production Technology Director to help audit our current processes and develop a production technology toolset that is robust scalable and increasingly powered by AI and advanced automation. You will be working withtheinternal clients Implementation IT & Services and Sales to develop new workflows as a core part of our service offering. The purpose of this role is to manage overall daily production support across the group oversee the specification and build of AI-powered tools and solutions and consistently improve current workflows to enhance cost and production efficiency quality and service levels. You will guide and manage a team of Developers and Technology Managers setting technical direction nurturing talent and ensuring the teamoperatestogether at a high standard across all production technology initiatives. This includes overseeing the teams adoption and proficient use of AI-assisted coding and scripting tools (such as GitHubCopilot ChatGPT Claude and other LLM-based development assistants) to accelerate development cycles improve code quality and reduce manual effort in building andmaintainingproduction solutions.

You will be required to support the Technology Director in the management of key new account implementations from a technical and operational point of view working with them to create comprehensive projects to deliver production automation and company-wide solutions. This includes identifying specifying and building overseeing bespoke AI-powered tools from adaptive workflow automation and predictive production scheduling to AI-enabled quality assurance and content adaptation cooperating with internal stakeholders to ensure plans are delivered on time and on budget. With a track record in complex projects you will help ensure the smooth transition of the plan and manage ongoing needs.The primary focus for this role will be to implement and consistently improve the daily operational effectiveness of accounts. Tightening up processes streamlining workflows embedding AI and machine learning solutions where they can deliver measurable gains and ensuring teams cooperate around best practices making sure we areutilisingthe systems resources and partners we have to their fullest potential.

The Senior Production Technology Directoris responsible forensuring that the agency has best-in-class processes systems and AI capabilities thatmaintainthe highest standards in project and campaign delivery and meet the evolving demands of the client with the same level of commitment and passion as the client. Work with the Production Support Team to define and implement workflows on tools like Dalim ES/Twist and other automation tools including AI-enabled automation platforms and to promote use of automation and AI across the group. Working with the Global Technology and Innovation Director PMO office and OMG team to evaluate architect and implement AI-powered automation software across our network of agencies and hubs globally including assessing emerging AI technologies building proof-of-concept solutions and scaling successful implementations across the business.

What you will be doing:

  • Guide manage and develop a team of Developers and Technology Managers setting clear goals conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of innovation collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Spec design and oversee the build of AI-powered production tools and platforms from requirements gathering and solution architecture through to development testing and deployment
  • Encourage and promote the use of AI-assisted coding and scripting tools across the development team (e.g. GitHubCopilot LLM-based code generation automated testing frameworks AI-enabled debugging) to accelerate delivery improve code quality and reduce repetitive manual development tasks
  • Evaluate emerging AI/ML technologies (including generative AI computer vision NLP and smart automation) for application within production workflows recommending and implementing solutions that deliver tangible efficiency and quality gains
  • Build andmaintainAI-powered automation pipelines for content production asset management quality control and workflow orchestration
  • Accountable for delivery of assigned projects to time scope and quality
  • Advise and connect with stakeholders internally and externally developing warm trusting working relationships with various teams across the business and with key client contacts
  • Ensure project plans are signed off and have met quality standards and guidelines before deployment
  • Ensure projects are accurately recorded within agreed tools
  • Ensure all tools are deployed following consistent agency standards e.g. our internal tool OMG
  • Map and deploy agreed process changes including AI-augmented workflows and adaptive routing andprioritisationsystems
  • Ensure key documentation is created and training is provided to new team members including AI tool onboarding and upskillingprogrammesfor the wider production team
  • Provide input into ongoing process improvements and changes to ensure the team is continuously improvingleveragingdata insights and AI to inform and shape direction
  • Establish best practices and governance frameworks for responsible AI use including data privacy ethical AI standards and quality assurance for AI-generated outputs
  • A desire to be in the detail systems processes profitabilityutilisation production and delivery
  • Experience in fast-paced agencies. This business manages scale and speed across the USA and Canada
  • Trusting dependable relationshipsbuilt through honest consistent delivery

What you need to be great in this role:

  • 10 years of technical services experiencein a complex production environment not a traditional agency across Print Digital Social and Motion technologies
  • Demonstrated experience managing and nurturing teams of Developers and Technology Managers witha track recordof attractingretaining and growing technical talent
  • A solid understanding of AI and machine learning technologies including practical experience specifying building or implementing AI-powered tools and solutions within a production or creative technology environment
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development workflows comfortable using and promoting tools like GitHubCopilot ChatGPT/Claude for code generation scripting automation prompt engineering and AI-enabled QA/testing
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks APIs and platforms(e.g. OpenAI Azure AI AWS AI/ML services Google Cloud AI or similar) and anunderstandingof how to integrate these into production systems
  • Familiarity with scripting and programming languagescommonly used in production automation (e.g. Python JavaScript Shell scripting) with the ability toleverageAI tools to accelerate coding troubleshooting and solution development
  • Experience in building and deploying complex production technologies
  • Experience in implementation of large-scale projects and ideally change management processes
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent planning andorganisationalskills

  • At the time of thisposting the base salary for this position may range from $123250.00 to $137750.00.Individual compensation varies based onjob relatedfactors including location business needs level of responsibility experience and qualifications. The range listed is just onecomponentof OLIVERs total compensation package.
