Job Description:
Maintains standards of professional nursing practice and coordinates total nursing care for patients with consideration of their specific age needs. Responsible for the development and administration of efficient and Professional operations of employee health services in accordance with UTMC policies. Provides for and delivers health and safety programs and services to workers worker populations and community groups. Focuses on promotion and restoration of health prevention of illness and injury and protection from work related and environmental hazards. Provides leadership by working cooperatively with other health care professionals. Assist with all aspects of health services competencies customer services and quality improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education / Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Current Nursing licensure LPN required in the State of Ohio.
BLS required.
Specialty certification preferred.
Must be willing to rotate shifts and units.
May be required to assume charge nurse role.
Must be able to function autonomously utilizing on-site training and demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills self-motivation clinical confidence and computer competence.
Physical requirements:
o
visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 including color vision when applicable.
o
ability to hear (with or without aides)
o
ability to orally communicate
o
good manual dexterity
o
ability to push pull roll and transfer/lift 50 pounds occasionally
o
ability to stand walk frequently
o
ability to bend reach stoop kneel frequently; and
o
ability to perform CPR.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Occupational Health Nurse preferred.
Occupational Health Nursing experience preferred.
FAA - Aviation Medical Examiner knowledge preferred
