About The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Trainee Service Technician to join their dynamic team where you will play a vital role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of their customers operations. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Installing and commissioning vehicle testing and workshop equipment including brake testers and suspension play detectors.
- Performing preventative maintenance and servicing on brake testers suspension testers chassis dynos light & heavy vehicle lifts.
- Diagnose and repair faults primarily involving electromechanical systems with some equipment incorporating computer-controlled components.
- Providing on-site technical support and troubleshooting assistance to customers when required.
- Maintaining accurate service documentation to meet manufacturer and safety compliance standards.
About You
The successful candidate will have: (Trade qualification desired but not required)
- 1 year of hands-on experience in mechanical assembly maintenance or automotive servicing.
- Current Open Drivers Licence with manual transmission driving experience required.
- Motivated to learn a side of the industry that most people would never get to learn.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills to maintain strong client relationships.
- Experience servicing or installing automotive workshop equipment or industrial machinery.
- Your own basic tools will be required for this position.
