Network Security Specialist – Firewall Operations

Position Description:

Specialist Systems Network Security
Missions
Hands-on experience with FortiGate and Check Point firewalls
56 years of overall experience including at least 3 years focused on firewall management
Solid understanding of routing and switching for end-to-end route analysis and troubleshooting
Experience with firewall administration and orchestration tools such as Tufin
Perform regular audits and reviews of firewall rules and configurations to ensure alignment with security policies
Optimize firewall performance by identifying and removing outdated redundant or unnecessary rules
Maintain detailed documentation of configurations rule changes and recertification processes for audit purposes
Collaborate with network operations security teams and application owners to implement changes and resolve conflicts
Ensure effective communication and coordination across stakeholders
Apply ITIL practices in incident change and problem management
Profile
Strong hands-on expertise with FortiGate and Check Point firewalls
Proven experience in firewall operations and rule management
Good knowledge of networking fundamentals (routing & switching)
Experience with Tufin or similar orchestration tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and presentation abilities
Strong stakeholder engagement and client relationship management skills
Proactive motivated and adaptable mindset
Good listening skills and ability to work in collaborative environments
Familiarity with ITIL concepts and processes.

CGI provides a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this position. This range is determined based on various factors including skill level geographic market experience education as well as professional licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions are made on a case-by-case basis a reasonable estimate for the salary range of this position is between $60000 and $115000. This position is currently open.
