Description

Position Details:

Provides patient services using imaging modalities. Performs radiographic procedures. Applies principles of radiation protection. Evaluates radiographs for technical quality. Exercise professional judgment in the performance of procedures. Provides patient care essential to radiographic procedures. Recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiates life support measures.

Requirements

Education:
Licensed radiology technologist sought. Minimum of an Associates degree from an accredited school of x-ray technology or equivalent experience. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). Active/valid OR state license or able to obtain one. Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic technology training and meets the requirement for registration by ARRT.

Licensure/Certification:

Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT). Active/valid state license. Satisfactory completion of formal radiologic technology training and meets the requirement for registration by ARRT. CPR certification required Computed Tomography (CT) Certification required.

Experience:

New college graduate if qualified will receive on-the-job experience. Five to 10 years experience preferred.

Skills:

Maintain effective interpersonal relationships with co-workers and patients. Ability to work with the sick and injured. Ability to accept constructive criticism.
