The Association for Individual Development (AID) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower people with physical developmental intellectual mental health challenges those who have suffered a trauma and those at risk to enjoy lives of dignity and purpose. We are looking for a Therapist Qualified Mental Health Professional who exemplifies that mission and wants to work for an organization that makes a difference.
Schedule Hours: Monday - Friday 9am-5:30pm and one later evening
What will you be doing
The Therapist QMHP is responsible for the provision of counseling skills training and case management services to a caseload of clients who are diagnosed with persistent mental illness.
Services are provided in family and individual treatment settings with both adult and children/adolescents. Services are offered both onsite and in the community or client home
Therapists are expected to work with a team of service providers within the agency and throughout the social service community to ensure that all needs of clients are met
Essential Job Responsibilities
Attend scheduled work hours including evening hours
Provide effective individual and group counseling
Complete clinical assessments that meet the requirementsof program funders and applicable administrative rules
Provide case management services as medically necessary
Complete required documentation (IMCANS documentation includingencounters consents) on a timely basis
Meet minimum service provision/productivity requirements as assigned byDirector based on specific job duties
Acquire and maintain required certifications and trainings
Maintain client files according to agency policy
Maintain professional judgment and performance regardless of personal issues
Abide by AIDs Code of Ethics policies and procedure
Schedule and conduct treatment planning meetings asnecessary
Obtain input from consumers and other stakeholders on how to improve serviceprovision
Provide outcome evaluation data to supervisor
Maintain a positive professional working relationship withagencies and other stakeholders
Maintain a positive professional working relationship withcoworkers within AID
Assist clients in obtaining and maintaining publicentitlements as necessary
Participate in agency committees as assigned
Participate in clinical supervision a minimum of one time permonth
Provide outreach services to clients who are unable or unwillingto engage in office-based services

$1000 sign on bonus for full-time

Qualifications

Education: Masters degree in a human services field
License/certifications: License preferred (LPC or LSW)
Experience: At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health preferred
Physical: Navigation of stairs on a regular basisEquipment:
Computer with working knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications
Copy machine
Telephone with voice mail system
Additional Requirements:
Flexibility to work evening hours
Use of personal automobile
Maintain automobile liability insurance as defined by AIDspersonnel policies
Maintain valid Illinois drivers license
Meet/maintain driving record standards as defined by AIDs insurance carrier.
