Job Summary

The Server/Busser/Set-Up is a versatile role that combines serving guests maintaining cleanliness and preparing event or dining spaces. This position ensures an exceptional guest experience by providing attentive service keeping dining areas organized and setting up tables or event spaces according to specifications.

Compensation: $16 - $19

Key Responsibilities:

Server Responsibilities:

  • Greet guests warmly and provide menus.
  • Take and deliver food and beverage orders accurately and promptly.
  • Answer questions about menu items dietary restrictions and specials.
  • Ensure proper table service including refilling beverages and attending to guest needs.
  • Handle guest payments using the point-of-sale (POS) system.

Busser Responsibilities:

  • Clear plates utensils and glassware from tables promptly.
  • Clean and sanitize tables chairs and other surfaces after guests leave.
  • Reset tables with appropriate settings.
  • Assist servers in delivering food and beverages during busy periods.

Set-Up Responsibilities:

  • Prepare dining or event spaces by arranging tables chairs linens and other items.
  • Ensure room layout matches event or service specifications.
  • Check equipment such as glassware and utensils for cleanliness and functionality.
  • Restock service stations and supplies to ensure smooth operations.

General Responsibilities:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in dining and event spaces.
  • Communicate with team members to ensure efficient service flow.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines including food handling and sanitation.
  • Assist with additional tasks such as polishing glassware folding napkins or event breakdown.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in food service events or hospitality preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexible availability including evenings weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable with repetitive motions bending and reaching.
