Reporting to the Continuous Improvement Engineering Manager theGlass Research Engineerplays a critical role indefining developing andoptimizingmanufacturing processes for glassbased products. This role focuses on applyingstrong experimental design and data analysisto understand and reduce process variation improve existing products and support scalable wellcontrolled manufacturing methods.
This position is part of theContinuous Improvement teamlocatedinEast Greenbushand will beonsite.
In this role a typical day will look like:
Design and execute experiments to improve proprietary manufacturing processes.
Investigate glass behaviorduring high-temperature forming including process stability and physical formation.
Optimizeprocess variables tooling and equipment setup.
Lead root cause analysis of defects yield loss and correlate to process variation.
Translate research findings into practical manufacturing improvements.
Apply DOE and statistical methods to refine processes.
Support process scaling and new product introduction.
The essential requirements of the job include:
B.S. degree in Materials Science Physics Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience with experimental research andmaterialsprocessing.
Strong skills in data analysis DOE and statistical methods.
Exposure to manufacturing or process development environments

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associates position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills seniority geographic location performance shift travel requirements sales or revenue-based metrics any collective bargaining agreements and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $110000 - $125000 USD per year.We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
