Position Overview

This is an outstanding opportunity for an early-career construction professional to build a long-term career in special inspections materials testing and construction quality assurance. As a Special Inspector I you will serve as a critical member of the project team helping ensure construction projects are built safely correctly and in compliance with approved plans specifications and applicable codes.

Core Responsibilities

• Perform field inspections on active construction sites to verify compliance with approved plans specifications and applicable codes
• Observe reinforced concrete placement activities including pre-pour inspections and placement monitoring
• Conduct structural masonry inspections and basic structural steel inspections including bolting and welding observations
• Perform construction materials testing including soil and concrete testing activities
• Evaluate construction activities for compliance with IBC ACI and applicable industry standards
• Prepare detailed daily field reports documenting observations testing results deficiencies and corrective actions
• Communicate effectively with contractors superintendents engineers project managers and internal team members
• Maintain project documentation and inspection records in accordance with company procedures
• Support quality assurance initiatives and promote safe construction practices on all project sites
• Assist with obtaining certifications and expanding technical expertise across multiple inspection disciplines

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 03 years of experience in construction special inspections materials testing or related fields
• Technical Knowledge: Basic understanding of construction drawings specifications and construction processes
• Materials Testing: Experience or familiarity with soil testing and construction materials testing
• Field Work: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions
• Communication: Strong verbal written and documentation skills
• Transportation: Valid drivers license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

• ATTI Certification or ability to obtain certification quickly
• Familiarity with International Code Council (ICC) standards
• Knowledge of American Concrete Institute (ACI) testing procedures
• Previous experience working on commercial infrastructure or municipal projects
• Interest in pursuing additional certifications and advancing within the inspection profession
