About the Role

Hagerstown KIA is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Advisor / Service Writer to join our growing service department. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment enjoys delivering outstanding customer service and has strong automotive knowledge. Youll be the primary point of contact for service customers and play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers and write up service appointments promptly and professionally

• Listen to customer concerns and document them clearly for technicians

• Provide accurate repair estimates and explain recommended maintenance

• Communicate with the parts department and technicians to support efficient workflow

• Update customers on repair status and obtain approval for additional services

• Achieve department goals and maintain high customer satisfaction ratings

• Review completed repair orders for accuracy and completeness

• Upsell maintenance services based on vehicle needs

• Handle customer questions complaints and follow-ups professionally

• Maintain accurate customer and service records

• Report additional tasks or needs to management

Qualifications

• Valid U.S. drivers license (Required)

• 1 year experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or Service Writer (Preferred)

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Mechanical knowledge (shocks struts oil changes diagnostics etc.)

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced dealership environment

• Team-oriented attitude with a professional appearance

• High attention to detail

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)

• Experience in automotive sales or dealership customer service is a plus

• Reliability and strong problem-solving skills

Schedule

• 8-hour shift

• MondayFriday

• Rotating weekends required
