Sr Software Engineer (Node, React)

Position Description:

This position requires someone who is local to St. Louis MO and willing to work on-site three days per week.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Design build and maintain full-stack applications using React NestJS and Postgres
Develop scalable APIs and backend services
Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate requirements into technical solutions
Write clean maintainable and well-tested code
Optimize applications for performance scalability and reliability
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers
Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy
Troubleshoot debug and improve existing systems

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

5 years professional experience software engineer experience
Must have strong experience in:
React (modern hooks state management)
(API development backend architecture)
(SSR/SSG routing performance optimization)
Postgres (data modeling query optimization)
Experience building and deploying production-grade web applications in a cloud environment (AWS strong preferred)
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and web architecture
Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Strong full-stack engineering mindset
Ability to own features from concept to production
Clear and effective communication
Collaboration across cross-functional teams
Attention to detail and code quality
Problem-solving and analytical thinking

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set level experience relevant training and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $88200.00 - $156700.00.
