Job Summary
The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the service department. This role includes leading service advisors and technicians ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction maximizing department efficiency and profitability and maintaining manufacturer standards and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead train and develop service advisors technicians and support staff
- Ensure an outstanding customer experience from vehicle check-in through delivery
- Monitor service department performance metrics including productivity profitability and customer satisfaction scores
- Oversee warranty claims and ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines
- Maintain a clean safe and organized service department
- Communicate effectively with sales parts and other departments to improve operational efficiency
- Manage parts and labor pricing structures in alignment with dealership goals
- Drive fixed operations growth through process improvement and customer retention initiatives
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Service Manager in a high-volume automotive service department
- Strong leadership and team-building skills
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities
- Solid understanding of automotive repair processes and service department operations
- Familiarity with dealership management systems (DMS)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record

Experience
- Automotive Service Management: 3 years required. The right candidate will be process-oriented technology-focused and forward-thinking with a commitment to improving systems driving efficiency and embracing modern tools.
